Good evening All,
Well today we have been carrying out work for the Hotel St George in Harrogate.
They reported leaks to their roof on Friday evening and by 3pm today we had been and sorted out the leaking roofs.
They could not put scaffold up as it was on the access route to their car park which would have caused major problems if they would have had to close the entrance off for customers both arriving or leaving their facility.
Luckily we were able to use a 18.75m Tracked Access Platform to carry out the high level repairs.
We did have to lower and move the machine on several occasions for customers to enter and leave the car park but we had an Operative directing proceedings from the ground to ensure all Health & Safety issues were met.
The job went very smoothly and saved the hotel quite a few hundred pounds over having to use scaffold due to the height and complex area we were working in.
Next blog is going to focus on ways of making the Harrogate public more aware of the potential huge savings that can be made by using Access Platforms/Cherry Pickers rather than Scaffold and the many benefits that come with it.
We support all companies who want to carry out high level works safely by using IPAF trained Operators.
Until next time!!!
