Roof cleaning job started today using the PB18.90 tracked.
Perfect size without having to collapse the tracks to get round the back but it was tight.
This one is a very old roof with Hardrow tiles that have actually worn quite thin.
We found approx 6 cracked at the front and just know we fill find more at the back which is in a worse condition.
So during lunch break I flew over to our friends at Hunslet roofing to pick up some reclaimed Hardrow to swap the broken ones out while we were here so they will blend in nicely as it’s a lovely old property.
The picture (pic 4 )of the contrasting depth of a reclaimed tile and a broken one removed shows you how old they are as they are half the depth even of one that’s been reclaimed.
Should kick the can down the road for another 5/10 years if they look after it and don’t allow people to walk on it as they will just break.
They got lucky with HAP as they had gotten a quote from someone else who was planning to do it off a roof ladder.
They would have broken more than they were cleaned.
