Heavily delaminated/fractured stone cross needed to be removed for safety.
The cross was very heavy.
In order to keep costs down for the church a decision was made to cut the cross down into sections for safe removal with 1 machine rather than having to use a further lifting machine.
The stems were cut off first then sections of the main body so it could be removed safely.
We had a lightning protection operative at the ready to make good on the lightning protection.
Numerous pictures were taken in order for the stonemason we were working with to be able to sculpture a New Cross with his outstanding skillset.
